Hello! My name is Paula Nguyen, and I am incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to share my story with you. I want you to feel the depth of my passion and the heartfelt commitment I have towards making a difference in people’s lives.
Occupational Therapy has been more than just a profession to me; it has been a calling deeply ingrained in my being. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by my relatives and family members with disabilities. I saw their struggles, their resilience, and their unwavering determination to overcome obstacles. It was during those moments that my purpose became clear—to be a beacon of hope and support for individuals, families, and caregivers facing similar hardships.
I remember seeking access to various Allied Health services for my loved ones—physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and psychologists. These incredible professionals became my heroes, my guiding lights, showing me the transformative power of healthcare. At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a part of that world, to make a difference in people’s lives and help them find the strength to push through adversity.
In my role as an Occupational Therapist, I have witnessed the power of compassion and personalised care. Working in Aged Care facilities and Community Home Care, I have had the privilege of assisting clients and their families, walking alongside them on their journey towards healing and independence. The smiles of accomplishment, the tears of joy, and the moments of triumph have touched my heart in ways that words cannot fully express.
One of the most profound experiences in my career was when I had the opportunity to lead a team of Occupational Therapists and physiotherapists in an aged care setting. Together, we embarked on a mission to restore hope and empower our clients to reclaim their lives. We faced complex cases, navigated through uncertainty, and celebrated every small victory as if it were our own. The bonds we formed, the camaraderie we shared, and the lives we touched will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Through my work, I have learned that true healing extends beyond physical function. It encompasses the soul, the spirit, and the sense of purpose that resides within each individual. I have seen how a compassionate touch, a listening ear, and a genuine connection can transform lives and instill a renewed sense of hope.
Primal is not just a workplace; it is a sanctuary where healing happens on multiple levels. It is a place where clients are not seen as mere cases but as unique individuals with dreams, aspirations, and an incredible capacity for resilience. Every day, I am inspired by the remarkable stories of courage and perseverance that unfold within these walls. The joy of witnessing clients push past their perceived limitations and achieve what was once thought impossible is an indescribable feeling.

It is my heartfelt desire to extend the help and support I once received to those who need it most.
