Isabela Raymundo – Primal Physiotherapy
Introducing Isabela:
Hi! I’m Isabela but everyone at Primal calls me Izzy. You will see me front-of-house here at Primal and I am here to help you to find the physio that will get you back to moving and living life pain-free!
I am lucky enough to be pursuing my dream and am currently studying Physiotherapy at Victoria University.
Since starting high school, I have always had a fascination with the mechanics of the body and how we can utilise so many different techniques to enhance our performance, move more effectively and bounce back from injury. This, coupled with my sporting background in Ice Hockey and a want to help the people around me — kick-started my aspirations to becoming a physiotherapist. I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak into the world of Allied Health through working with so many team Physiotherapists and Strength and Conditioning coaches. Being able to watch them at work; getting players back on the ice, developing tailored exercise programs to get us to our peak performance and the tailored rehabilitation that they gave us players fuelled my ambitions even more.
In 2021, my final year at high-school, I was lucky enough to be presented with an opportunity to be a part of the Primal community. I have been to my fair share of Allied Health private practices, but Primal has changed my perspective on what the delivery of Allied Health Care should look like. The team here at Primal strive to empower their clients and deliver individualised care to ensure that our clients are not only able to reach their goals but also support them in pushing beyond their limits! Starting from the moment they walk through the door, stepping into the treatment room until you walk out of the clinic, your time here at Primal is a welcoming experience that is catered for you. The impact that we are able to have on a client’s journey from start to end is amazing, but what is even more rewarding is being able to make little differences in just one visit to the clinic. Being able to see these incredible professionals doing what they love has given me such valuable experience and makes me all the more excited for my future career as a physio.
Outside of Primal and uni, I love my sports. As I mentioned, I have a background in Ice Hockey and I have been playing for 13 years. The sport has given me so much, from life-long friendships and connections, to allowing me to learn how to work cohesively in a team and learning what it means to be a leader. I have been fortunate and lucky enough to travel the world and experience different cultures. It has given me my proudest moment, having the absolute honour and privilege to represent my country at the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2019. Not only do I love playing Ice Hockey but I also love to watch sports, particularly women’s sports.
Thank you for taking out the time to read a little bit about me! I look forward to helping you in your journey to moving without limits!
Izzy.
