Physiotherapist at Primal Braybrook

How was your Experience with us as a student and being a part of our graduate programme?

The experience I have been able to have was eye-opening. It was more relatable and informative to apply evidence-based and experience-based treatment to clients in private practice. I was able to learn from different students, Lisa our principal physiotherapist and other physiotherapists at Primal. Overall, it is a great experience and it is nice to apply everything with state of the art equipment and a modern environment which you do not see in most clinics!

Why did you chose Primal Physiotherapy?

I chose to work at Primal Physiotherapy because I saw the potential to grow exponentially. Compared to other clinics, Primal is a growing business and prides themselves in changing the way physiotherapy is viewed by the general public and how physiotherapy should be practiced as well. Primal is different because the goal is to change the industry to fit what physiotherapy should be rather than be a mill clinic where seeing as many clients as possible in a shift is the goal and business plan. Each client has the physiotherapists undivided attention and depending on the severity and complexity of the injury, the client can get an extended appointment or scheduling will prioritise to get them better.

What experience and development have you seen with Primal the past year?

My experience with Primal this year has been extremely positive. With Covid-19 and lockdown, I was still able to grow as a clinician and was still able to receive professional development from Primal. The daily changes of what Covid-19 offered this year made me flexible as a physiotherapist, but appreciative to be able to work through the first and second lockdown. The business remained open regardless of the number of clients scheduled as every injury is essential and it will be unfair for those suffering from varying injuries to not be seen during this pandemic. Communication and team-building were especially important this year to ensure social distancing and a safe, clean environment is maintained during this pandemic. Overall the experience has developed me into a better and more efficient clinician.

What opportunities have you been presented with at Primal?

I started with Primal in January as a new graduate physiotherapist. I was offered many opportunities this year. I was offered to develop a professional development program for the physiotherapists at Primal, also a team leader position at Primal further and more opportunities for me to grow as a physio and grow the business with my ideas. I am able to plan our participation and involvement in community service and charity runs as that is my passion to help the community.

How is the team environment

Every person is different and we recognise their uniqueness as an individual and what they can bring to the team. Everyone’s strengths are welcomed to the team and encouraged to present as much as possible. Weaknesses are often addressed and assisted to further improve one another as much as possible. A weekly team meeting and a big quarterly meeting allows one another to interact and present with ideas and concerns. As restrictions eases, the hope is to get together more often and do different sports to get to know it better as physiotherapists.

How was your Experience with us as a student and being a part of our graduate programme?

While studying to become a physiotherapist, I was selected by Primal from their student mentorship programme. It was really great to see how a real physiotherapist works and be given the opp0rtunity to put everything we learnt into practice. When I started with Primal, I was immediately placed into the graduate programme. This was extremely helpful with the weekly PD’s and review sessions as we got to see and learn how to assess and treat conditions in a real-world scenario. The knowledge and expertise of the physiotherapists were also very high and were very approachable if I had any questions.

Why did you chose Primal Physiotherapy?

I chose Primal as they take an active approach to physiotherapy while also treating every client in a respectable and holistic manner. As a team they are also fantastic and make you feel a part of a family.

What experience and development have you seen with Primal the past year?

Over the past year Primal has been constantly changing and adapting as a company and the individuals themselves. Primal is constantly trying to better themselves and having the most up to date equipment and standard of treatment. With that they have helped me on my path to being the physiotherapist I want to be.

What opportunities have you been presented with at Primal?

With Primal I have been able to hone my skills as a physiotherapist and as a leader. This has helped me to excel and I am very grateful. Primal has given me the opportunity to be a team leader within Primal and set me on the path to be able to lead a whole team and one day run a clinic.

How is the team environment?

The team environment is very welcoming and helpful. Everyone is always ready to help one another while also very knowledgeable to bounce ideas and theories off. It is great to come into work and have a family vibe.

Physiotherapist at Primal Braybrook

Why did you chose Primal?

I chose Primal because firstly, the values I uphold the most align with those of Primal Physiotherapy, which is to constantly learn, adapt and grow my passion for providing my best for every client to help improve their function and achieve their goals. Secondly, having a passion for holistic active approach, as well as strength and conditioning, I have plenty of opportunities at Primal Physiotherapy to utilize and grow my passion and skills.

What experience and development have you seen with Primal the past year?

Initially, when I started it was overwhelming. Dealing with clients with necessities different from the other made the ordeal scary, as there were moments I was unsure of what was the correct requirement. Primal was here for me with a great team of physiotherapists and senior practitioners who’s experience helped me build my own set of skills.

Over the year of practising physiotherapy at Primal I’ve been able to develop my skills towards my interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy as my background in sports rehabilitation has garnered numerous hours working with athlete rehab for sport related injuries. The experiences at Primal has made me more confident in what I am capable to accomplish and achieve with my set of knowledge and skills.

I would like to thank James our Director and the team at Primal Physiotherapy for giving me this opportunity to not only develop my knowledge and skills but to be given the tools in what it takes to be a successful practitioner. Also, I have been shown by James what goes into running a successful organization. In doing so I highly appraise his work and contributory reach for the community.

How have weekly and monthly PD helped you?

Weekly and monthly PD have not only helped me increase my knowledge and confidence in regards to approaching, assessing and treating certain caseloads, but also allowing me to interact more, share valuable information and learn from other team members.

What opportunities have you been presented with at Primal?

I have had the opportunity of supporting the learning of final year Physiotherapy students during their placement at Primal Physiotherapy. Team members are also provided the opportunity to grow into different leadership roles based on individual strengths and passion.
