Lauren Le’Toille Primal Physiotherapist

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am one of the physiotherapists here at Primal! I completed my Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. I have played soccer for a number of years, and I have now moved into physiotherapy roles for Senior Men and Women’s soccer teams in the North-western suburbs. When I am not at work you can find me at the gym, walking my dog Ollie, travelling the world and doing anything that gets the adrenaline going!

Growing up, I always loved to stay active and I became involved a whole variety of different sports (eg: dancing, swimming, athletics, gymnastics, soccer, strength training). Combined with this, I found myself having a profound interest in understanding how the body works, which took me on the path to becoming a physiotherapist. I love being able to come to Primal every day to fulfil my passions – whether this is through injury rehabilitation, education, as well as teaching clients how to move their bodies in a positive way.

I am extremely passionate about injury prevention through movement. I not only want my patients to be pain free, but I want them to be able to take valuable knowledge and skills learnt from our sessions to prevent future injuries. All in all, I strive to have an impact on health literacy in the community, so individuals have the knowledge to improve their health outcomes.

I value building meaningful relationships with clients (yes, I want to know all about your pets, hobbies, work-life and family). I also believe that physiotherapy sessions should involve collaborative discussions and that they should be enjoyable (but also a little challenging). Ultimately, I want to get you back to functioning at your best, whether this is getting back to sport, the gym or to playing with your kids pain free.

Through my upbringing and education, I highly value the importance of helping others and to ‘treat others the way you want to be treated.’ Therefore, I aim for all of my clients to feel as though they communicate any concerns/questions, discuss their goals and to have an overall positive physiotherapy experience.

How can I help you? Together we can create an individualised plan to ensure that you achieve your goals… even the ones you may have given up on a long time ago. I can assist you with injury rehabilitation, specific programming to enhance performance and provide you with education and resources to aid your recovery.

In a session with me, there is always an active component! I want to highlight your capabilities as we work towards achieving your goals and provide you with strategies to assist with pain-free movement. I am a big advocator for participation. Rather than telling you to rest from the gym or sport, I will focus on how you can still participate in various ways. I can also provide treatment modalities such as deep tissue massage, mobilisations and dry needling to assist with pain reduction.

I develop treatment plans based on how they can fit into your life. Whether this is a busy family schedule, desk work, tradie or student, together we can find a solution that works for you. I am also always available for a call/email in between sessions to answer any questions you may have.

I look forward to seeing you at Primal!
