Jack Cotton – Primal Physiotherapist
Introducing Jack:
Hi, I’m Jack, a passionate physiotherapist at Primal Physiotherapy with a Master’s in Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University. My love for sports, especially football and basketball, has always been central to my life. Like many athletes, I’ve faced my fair share of injuries, and it was through my own rehabilitation journey that I discovered the profound impact physiotherapy can have. This personal experience guided me towards a career where I could combine my passion for sports with helping others.
Outside of work, you can find me enjoying outdoor adventures—whether it’s running, camping, or playing a round of golf. Every day, I wake up driven to become the best version of myself, both professionally and personally. My motivation comes from a deep desire to help people achieve their physical goals, whether that’s recovering from surgery, improving sports performance, or simply moving without pain. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client regain their strength and confidence after an injury.
My commitment to continuous professional development fuels my passion for learning new techniques, attending workshops, and taking part in professional development courses. One of my biggest professional accomplishments was contributing to Brighton Grammar’s Athletics program, where I provided tailored rehab programs that helped young athletes return to peak performance. Personally, every successful client discharge feels like an achievement. Whether it’s helping an athlete get back on the field or aiding a patient’s recovery post-surgery, every success story reinforces why I do what I do.
I believe in a holistic approach to physiotherapy, where each client is seen as a whole person, not just as an injury. My goal is to empower my clients by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to take charge of their own health. Integrity, empathy, and dedication are the core values that guide my practice. I’m here to listen, understand, and provide the best possible care for every individual I work with.
My journey in physiotherapy began at La Trobe University, where I completed my Master’s in Physiotherapy Practice. My passion for gym-based rehab and sports was further cultivated during my time working with Brighton Grammar’s Athletics program. This experience solidified my interest in sports and post-surgical rehabilitation, particularly in treating running injuries. Over the years, I’ve sought out opportunities to expand my expertise, including observing surgeries with local orthopedic surgeons to better understand the intricacies of post-surgical care.
Whether you’re recovering from surgery, dealing with a sports injury, or looking to enhance your athletic performance, I’m here to help. At Primal Physiotherapy, I offer a range of services tailored to your needs, from personalized rehabilitation programs to sports performance optimization and targeted manual therapy. My approach is evidence-based, and I’m committed to staying current with the latest research and techniques to ensure you receive the highest standard of care.
